Self described as an ongoing experiment examining the juxtaposition of pure thought and unbridled emotion. Riveting guitar, powerhouse drumming and driving bass riffs combined with soaring vocal melodies converge in a maelstrom designed to shake the senses, spur the imagination and touch the soul.

Out of hard work and dedication comes great results and this has always proven to be the case for Keep 6. Since the start of writing, producing and recording the material for their third full length album, “Just A Matter Of Time”, the fruits of their labors began to blossom. Since releasing the song”Hang” from the album in early December 2011 for the Radiostar National Talent Search, Keep 6 is thrilled to announce that they have made the final Top 50 Bands in Canada out of several hundred entries.Previous to this exciting news, the band accepted an opportunity to perform not one but two showcase invites in Austin, Texas at The RedGorilla Fest during the prestigious South By South West 2012 Music Conference and Festival Week. To promote these showcases, Keep 6 and Tinderbox Music (Minneapolis, MN, USA) are working closely together to launch an eight week Radio ADD Campaign with 300 radio stations across North America and will commence on Feb 21/12.Both parties decided it was best to release a 5 song promotional EP from the new album to foreshadow what is to follow from “Just A Matter Of Time”.

Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, Keep 6 is a 5 piece original rock band driven by sheer determination to make waves in the Canadian music scene. Formed in 2007, the band consists of Scott Chalmers (Guitar), Shorre McColman (Vocals), Matthew Wispinski (Bass), Jay May (Drums), and the most recent valued addition in late 2011,Glenn Thorpe (lead guitar). In late 2007 Keep 6 produced the debut album, “Humanifesto”. The sound and songs were raw with no holds barred, achieving a successful fan base and number of sales. One song, “Without Being Human” place among the top 3 in the regional finals of the Canadian Songwriting Competition sponsored by Bear 100.3 FM. In early 2010 the band released their second album called “Four Fangs”. The album produced great independent success for the band as each song was technically driven with clever grooves and choruses. “Four Fangs” was promoted on a successful, national radio campaign throughout the USA.Concluding the campaign, the band was approached by several television production companies for licensing agreements to use their music during the 2011 season. The band is finishing up it’s 3rd full length album entitled, “Just A Matter Of Time” with a scheduled release in early 2012. Since their inception, Keep 6 had the honor of sharing the stage with such acts as A Perfect Circle, Three Days Grace, Sloan, Social Code, Priestess, Matthew Good, Three, and Streetheart. Summer Fests include Boonstock 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2011 as well as the Annual Ride for Dad Cancer Fund Raiser. Every live show produces a greater fan base in Western Canada with future plans of expanding towards Eastern Canada.Still comprised of their original members, these musicians are not only on the same page but on the same paragraph. Remember the name Keep 6 because it won’t be the last time you hear it.
